Make money from Craigslist

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

Have you ever heard of Craigslist?  Well if you have not, then you need to go to http://www.craigslist.com.  Search around this site to see what items people are selling.  You will be surprised, people will sell anything.  Why not join them?  Craigslist is FREE.  You list your items with a good description and pictures.  You can choose to have people e-mail or call you.  You communicate with the buyer and decide on when they will pick up and pay for the item.  Items that are listed for cheap, will sell.   Yes, I try and make money off my stuff, but I also like to just get rid of stuff.   Some people ask way too $$$ much for their stuff.  If you just be real and put it on there for a good price you will sell it faster.  I always research the item and see what it is selling for brand new.  I will take the brand new price and list it for ½ or less the brand new price.   For example: if a wine opener is selling for $28 brand new, I will sell it for $10.  If I have no use for it, then $10 is all profit to me.  It is all in how you look at things.  I am serious when I say people will sell anything.  If you think you have something weird, oh well, list it anyway.   Craigslist is based on major cities.  Just look for a major city near your home.  People will drive if they really want the item, or if it is a great deal.

  • DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 99% of the scam attempts on craigslist.
  • NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.
  • FAKE CASHIER CHECKS & MONEY ORDERS ARE COMMON, and BANKS WILL CASH THEM AND THEN HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE when the fake is discovered weeks later.
  • CRAIGSLIST IS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY TRANSACTION, and does not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer “buyer protection” or “seller certification”
  • NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.)
  • AVOID DEALS INVOLVING SHIPPING OR ESCROW SERVICES and know that ONLY A SCAMMER WILL “GUARANTEE” YOUR TRANSACTION.

When meeting someone for the first time, please remember to:

  • Insist on a public meeting place like a cafe
  • Tell a friend or family member where you’re going
  • Take your cell phone along if you have one
  • Consider having a friend accompany you
  • Trust your instincts

KGB vs ChaCha

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

atlfreestylelogo.pngKGB vs ChaCha, this was the dreaded comparison.  I feel like I can truly answer this now.  I have given KGB a try.  I am not giving up on KGB yet, but I feel I am headed in that direction.

ChaCha positives:

  • You can work when it is convenient for you.
  • You can sign in an out when it suits your schedule.
  • You can pay yourself whenever you want on your debit card.
  • ChaCha allows you to have some fun with your answers.
  • ChaCha has a forum.
  • ChaCha give you a referral fee!

ChaCha negatives:

  • Your pay can change from week to week, $0.10 or $0.20.
  • ChaCha’s traffic has slowed down.
  • You can only contact HQ by sending feedback through the Knowledge Base.

KGB positives:

  • It is an alternate when ChaCha is slow.
  • It is always good to have another egg in the basket.
  • KGB does have a phone number to contact HR and HQ!

KGB negatives:

  • You have to schedule what shifts you want work.
  •  The pay is only $0.05 and $0.10.
  • You get paid after you have accumulated $50.
  • KGB’s traffic is very slow.
  • KGB is much more nit-picky on their answers.
  • KGB has Meebo as communication, but I can’t find an operative in any room?

For now I will stick with both.  I can’t be too picky on what jobs are out there.  However, it looks like I will not be devoting too much time to KGB.  I am home with kids and it’s hard to pick a schedule a week ahead of time.  I have to keep my schedule open.  That is what is great about ChaCha.  You can jump on and off ANY time.  There are enough guides signed in that it will not affect their traffic.  I am not downing KGB but these have been my experiences thus far.

Instant Cash Sweepstakes, Get Satisfaction

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

logo2.gifCheck out another new feature on ICS.  You can answer surveys ever 3 hours now.  This is very cool.  Answering their surveys is fun.  It lightens my day some.  It breaks the monotony of my day.   Why not give it a shot?  All you do is answer their surveys and you will win money or tickets.  Money of course is nice, but the tickets go into the weekly drawing.  The more tickets you have towards the weekly $250 drawing, the better your chance of actually winning the money.  They have a forum and a blog.  Their forum is http://getsatisfaction.com/instantcashsweepstakescom.  There are testimonials on there.  I know someone who actually won $250, so I try everyday at the surveys.  I actually try multiple times a day.  I even have my hubby and a few friends addicted as well.  Why not give it a shot?  What is 10 minutes of your day?  I will give up 10 minutes to try and win.  It is not gambling at all.  I know some say they do not believe in gambling, but if you actually win money, then they are just paying you for your time.  Daily tip #18- All I ask is that you do it for one week.  If you find it fun, keep trying.  If not what have you lost?  You don’t give sensitive info.  If your not comfortable giving out your PayPal e-mail at 1st don’t do it.  Wait for after the week see if you can win money and if you do, then go in edit and put your PayPal and wad watch the money show up!!!This can be a real way to make real money at home on your computer.  .  Enjoy the rest of your happy hump day!

$7500 Tax Credit, ways to make money

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

Americans buying their first home between April 9, 2008 and July 1, 2009, are eligible for $7,500 federal tax credit.  The credit can act like an interest free loan.  It must be repaid to the government over 15 years.  The First-Time Homebuyer Credit can be claimed on Form 5405, which is filed with your 2008 or 2009 federal tax return.   Visit www.irs.gov for instructions for non-married persons who co-own a house and want to take the credit.  The credit is 10% of the purchase of the home, with a maximum available credit of $7,500 for either a single taxpayer or a married couple filing a joint return; $3,750 for married persons filing separate returns. The full credit is available for homes costing $75,000 or more.  It must be the purchase of a main home located in the US.  You must begin repaying the loan the second year after claiming the credit.  For example, if you properly claim the maximum available credit of $7,500 on your 2008 federal tax return, you must begin repaying the credit by including one-fifteenth of this amount, or $500, as an additional tax on your 2010 federal tax return. Normally, $500 will be due each year from 2010 to 2024.  It is repaid in 15 equal annual installments beginning with the second tax year after the year the credit is claimed.  There are more exceptions and income limits posted on the IRS website.

If not used wisely, this will get a lot of people in trouble.  Most people will probably blow this money.  You have to remember you will have to pay it back.  Daily tip #17- A wise thing to do would be to get the money, invest it, and repay it back over time.  This way you can make some interest off it.  Or you can look at it as interest free car loan.  Be smart with your money.

It is time to file your taxes, ways to save money

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

There are a bunch of free sites when you can file your taxes online.  Well most of the sites are free.  It is based on your AGI (Adjusted Gross Income).  If you make above a certain amount it will be $9.95-29.95 on some sites.  Most sites will be free for Federal and you pay $9.95 for State.  Either way, it is still much cheaper than going into a tax office.  I will list a few sites that are either free or pretty cheap.  If you have a fairly easy tax return there is no need to go in and pay someone else to do you taxes.  These online sites have simple instructions.  They go slow, step-by-step, and you just answer the questions.  I have used these sites before in the past.  I usually about 5 or 6 of my friend’s taxes each year on these sites.  It is an easy way for me to make  a few bucks.  It takes about 1-2 hours total to complete.  You can see your results right away, you can sign up for direct deposit, you can e-file, and you can print your return.  Daily Tip # 16-Here is what I learned last year, if you file direct deposit, then your stimulus check will be direct deposit.  If you file paper your stimulus check will be mailed paper.  This is me being hopeful that we will get another stimulus check this year.  I am going to keep my fingers crossed on this one!  Get to filing those taxes!

I have finally started working for KGB

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

kgb_logo_top1.gifEveryone wants to know: how much money can I make working for KGB?  The more hours you put in the more you will make.  I only made $1 my 1st day, but I only had 1 shift.  It was 30 minutes.  I have noticed that traffic is slow for me.  However, I do see lots of questions coming in on recent history.  I know there is a market for their service.  I have seen their ads on MTV.  I am staying hopeful.  I am hoping once I get fully trained that my traffic picks up.  If the questions come back to back then it is totally going to be worth it.  I could average between $5-9 an hour.  This is about the average salary for work at home jobs.  It could be another part time job for me.

Daily tip # 15- if you are a 1099 employee/ Independent contractor (where they do not take out taxes), make sure you remember to take out your own taxes.  Set up a savings account and put a few dollars here and there into the account.  Take what you make and subtract 15% and set aside.  If this is in a savings account, then you can make interest too!   Don’t let the end of the year creep up on you.  Tax time will be a nightmare.

Make money from selling on Ebay

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

images1.jpgMake money from selling on Ebay.  It is time to clean out your closets and attics.  Well for that matter anywhere you store old, unused things.  I mean anything.  I sell a lot of different types of things on Ebay.  I sell old baby clothes, motorcycle parts, kids old video games, kids old toys, formula, and COUPON.  Baby Infant formula, food, and diaper coupons are the way to go.  I have signed up for every baby club possible.  Gerber, Enfamil, Similac, Huggies, Johnson and Johnson, Pampers and many more.  These companies will send you free samples and coupons in the mail.  I use most of the items sent.  There are occasions I have coupons left over.  I will make a bundle of baby clothes and coupons and sell them on Ebay.  My profit is around $5-10 per bundle!!!  I know it doesn’t seem like much, but if I do a few bundles a month there is 1 tank of gas in my car.  You have to look at the bigger picture.  Get something old from your house, type it in the search bar on Ebay and see if others are selling similar items, and if so see what they are going for.  You will be surprised.

Anytime someone offers you free stuff for your baby and kids take it.  Get your use out of it then sell it.  People don’t like to purchase expensive new things for babies.  They love great deals.  Since your getting the items for free, you can sell it cheap.  This way it is all profit to you, you got to use it, and the customer gets a great deal.  This is a win-win situation.  Happy Selling!

How much money can you make at home working for ChaCha?

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

chacha.pngHow much money can you make at home?  This is the million dollar question.  I wish I had the answer.  Daily tip # 13- You can make as much as you work hard for.  Sure you may only start out with pennies but overtime they will add up.  I am an Independent contractor for ChaCha.  I really enjoy working from home.  People always want to know “How much money can you make working for ChaCha”.  The money I make varies from day to day.  Some days I will make $25, but others I may only make $5.  With ChaCha you have to be very precise in choosing your categories.  Your categories are your specialty.  The more specific you get in the categories, the more questions you could potentially get.  Unfortunately, right now ChaCha is not hiring.  I will keep you updated as to when they release the hiring freeze.  When I am signed in and working for ChaCha I have to stay focused.  I close out all unnecessary browsers, close e-mail, and set my phone in the other room.  It is super easy to get distracted.  It is all about prioritizing.  Well here are some more FREEBIE links for the day.  Make sure you read when you are signing up.  I always unsubscribe from their newsletters, etc… unless it is something I am really interested in.  Check that e-mail box daily because some require a reply back to get your freebie!

Freebies!!!

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

Daily tip # 11- Here are some links for freebies.  They are going to be a mixture of items for men, women, children, babies, teens, etc…  I won’t discriminate on  the links.  There is something for everyone in my links.  I hope you don’t get offended by some of the freebie links.  What I suggest you do is set up an e-mail account that you will only use for these free offers.  This way you won’t clog up your regular e-mail account.  I know that Yahoo has free e-mail accounts.  Click on the names below and it will take you to the link!!!

It may seem like a waste of time for some to get these freebies, but they really add up.  Anything for free is cool.  Or you can look at it as a way to sample a product before you buy it.  I have hundreds of links to post, I will do a few each day.  It can take a few weeks to get some of these in the mail.  I have used my real address, real birthday, and home phone number.  Nothing weird has happened when I gave this info.  The only thing that is bad is that you will get junk e-mail.  If you set up this separate e-mail account you will have no problems.  HAPPY MONDAY!Kiss
