Wow this is a great deal.  I can never have too many lip glosses in my purse.  My tween also loves lip gloss.  This is a must have.  It comes in several great colors.  I hate spending lots of money on make up, guess what now we don’t have to!!!  Hyper, glass-like shine infused with micro-mirror technology to reflect light. Smooths lips on contact with a conditioning shine that lasts for hours. Create that natural lip stain of color that’s sheer, subtle and beautiful!  You can apply the lip gloss alone or on top of desired lip color.  This brand of lip gloss has gotten 4 out of 5 stars in Good Housekeeping.

If you are a guy and stumble across this, buy it for your woman.  You can choose a color for her it is easy.  Almost all women like lip gloss.  Even if your woman is not big into make up, lip gloss is a must have.   Pick these up for your daughter or mom as well.  Almost every woman in your life should appreciate this.  And to boot, it is cotton candy scented.

KGB_ in New Orleans

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

I want to start out by saying thanks KGB_.  They sent me a KGB shirt and hand written thank you letter today.  That was very cool and it shows how much they value me as an employee.  The shirt was huge, but hey it was a nice gesture, it was free, and it’s cool.  KGB_ has been doing a lot of advertising.  They are in New Orleans right now promoting the service.  KGB_ ads have been all over MTV and a few other channels.  This is a funny and cute video I found of KGB_ in New Orleans.  I have not figured it out yet, but every time I see KGB_ there is an underscore after the name.  So I thought it might be there for a reason and so I am going to use it in this post as well.  Anyone know why they use the underscore after their name?  I am not a techy person, so any takers???  If you do not know what KGB_ is, then this video clip will fill you in.  You text 542542 and ask it any question.  Seriously any question. 542542 spells KGB_ on your phone.  This makes it easy to remember.  There is a fee if $0.50 per text.  You can ask directions, horoscope, song lyrics, recipes, math problems and so much more.  I have answered just about anything you can think of.  Working for them has allowed me to fill my brain with a lot of useless info, LOL. Well nonetheless I always have something to talk about in a crowd.  If I am not telling everyone about KGB_, I am spouting out new and random facts I have learned that day.  I truly enjoy working for KGB_, besides the lack of scheduling right now.  They have sent out a few messages saying they are increasing shifts.  This is great news for me.  Enjoy this little clip.  You will giggle at the funny drunk people in it.  You have to click on more to see the whole video clip.  I promise you will enjoy this few minutes of drunken questions.  I know I did!  Good evening everyone!

Karma saves

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

karma-red.jpg

OK for all you non believers.  I believe in Karma.  What goes around comes around.  Yesterday I was in Sally’s hair supply store and the girl in front of me was trying to purchase a professional item.  You have to have the Sally’s professional card to buy this product.  Well the store clerk said she can’t sell this to the girl in front of me because she didn’t have a card.  Well I whipped out my card and said here please let her purchase and scan my card.  The attendant did it and the girl in front of me was able to complete her purchase.  Well on top of it, if you have a professional card it saves you money.  The girl in front of me was able to save $10 off her purchase.  It was no skin off my back and it felt good to help someone.

Well low and behold, tonight my hubby went to Kroger to get some baby food.  He swiped our card and the credit card machine was offline and it said declined.  My hubby was like oh wow, this is just great.  Well the cashier got it fixed and it scanned and it was approved.  All the while the lady behind my hubby stepped up to the cashier and was like here I will pay for his groceries.  And the cashier was like oh his card went through now.  So my hubby thanked the woman and told her our card paid for it.  But how cool is that?  She was willing to pay for our baby food.  This just does not happen.  So this just goes to show what goes around, does comes around.  I want to challenge you after you read this to do something nice for 1 person, with no strings attached.  Help someone in need.  Pay it forward!

No hours for KGB

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

confusion-new.jpg

I have tried and tried to get some schedule hours in for KGB.  There are just no shifts available.  I am confused.  I don’t understand what is going on.  I am going to have to call or send an e-mail and ask what is going on.  Is anyone else working for KGB now?  If you are, please reply with comments as to if your getting hours.  I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.  I did read that they are switching to a new server, I think.  I wonder if this is my problem.  I will also try Meebo and see if an operative can help me.   I got $10 deposited into my account fro KGB, so I know they are not out of business.  I was just starting to get the hang of KGB and boom, I am cut off, LOL.  Just kidding.  I am sure there is a method to their madness.  I just really hope they open up more shifts.  So far they have been a good legit company to work for.

This is the exact reason why I have more than 1 basket.  I would be in a world of hurt if I relied solely on KGB for income.  Thank goodness for ChaCha and blogging on Today.com.  All these sources help me afford my monthly expenses.  Hope I have good news soon.

KGB schedule and Meebo

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

I have not given up on KGB yet.  I am still disappointed that there are not more shifts offered.  I think I have gotten a total of 2 hours this whole week.  I have looked everyday at next week’s schedule and there is nothing open.  I hate this.  I am just now starting to get he hang of KGB’s customers.  They are very different from ChaCha’s customers.  I have finally been able to get into the right place on Meebo and find an operative.  I never knew how to get in that room.  I sent several messages and no ones ever responded on how to get into the right room.  Finally I got an e-mail and it had the room and password listed.  Once I was in, it was cool.  Live operatives there and willing to help.  To me this is a cool feature about KGB.  Being able to ask for help right when you need it.  Sure with ChaCha you can post in the forums, but live chat is much more efficient.  I am not downing ChaCha at all, simply making a comparison.  I am very fortunate that I have the option to work for both.  Also, I am very fortunate I was able to get hired by both companies before they went on a hiring freeze.  The reason i think KGB is lagging is because they are charging customers for answers.  Google and ChaCha are free services.  There are 2 widely known call or text information services.  Maybe KGB will step up it’s advertising or lower it’s fees, maybe you can pay $5 a month and get unlimited or something like that!  To me this is reasonable.  Off to a 1 year old’s birthday party, can’t wait!!!!

Retailer coupons

I have found a cool site that lets you print coupons from home. http://www.entertainment.com

It is only valid for 14 days, but there are tons of discounts you can print out in the 2 weeks, it is a trial offer.  It is everything from Best Buy to Amazon, to local restaurant.  I found this site one night we were looking to go out to eat.  I typed in my city and typed in the word restaurants and coupons.  You should give this  a try.  If you are going shopping or going to make repairs to your home to buying a books you need to check this out.  There are no referrals or anything like that.  You will get some spam e-mails, but to me it is worth it for free money!!!  As a matter of fact me and the hubby are going to treat ourselves tonight.  Before we leave the house I am sitting here searching on some restaurant coupons.  Again it is a free trail and you will get some spam but might as well take advantage of it for a few weeks.  Once you are done you can unsubscribe and it is all good.  You can also use an e-mail address that you have been using for my freebies below.  I have an e-mail account set up for things like this.  This way my regular e-mail doesn’t get convoluted with junk.  And I can take advantage of some great steals and deals.  Have a good Saturday night folks!

Consignment shop Win-Win Situation

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

I am trying to create a winning situation for my business.  I truly believe I am one step closer.  After this whole experience I may write a book on how to start your own small business.  All it takes is asking a lot of questions and dedication.  You can save money by doing a lot of things yourself.  You can get your own sign permits, negotiate your lease with the landlord, and read over the lease yourself and make sure you understand it and if your not sure ask the landlord and they have to explain it you.  You can buy software and used items on Ebay and Craigslist.  You can even call the software companies direct and ask for a deal.  Quickbooks said they will give me 80% off some of their packages.  That is cheaper than used stuff on Ebay and it is brand new.  It never hurts to ask.  All they can do is say no.  Here is a great deal on QUICKBOOKS 2009 FOR MAC DOWNLOAD,
Price: $159.96.  Wow this is a great deal.  If I had a MAC I would totally get this.  I have to get another version.  This is the best deal on the web for this product.

ChaCha pay for 2009

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

ChaCha has announced that they are going to offer some very cool guide incentives.  They are taking the large prizes previously awarded and spread it out and make smaller payments to more guides.  This is a great idea.  To me this will satisfy more people.  I know ChaCha and any company will not be able to satisfy 100% of the people 100% of the time.  ChaCha is constantly changing their guide pay and incentives.  To me this is great because each change will satisfy another group.  This way not one group pf people get all the incentives.  I have had my ups and downs with them, but I have remained a guide through it all.  Bottom line some money is better than no money.  I hope I win some of the money they are offering, but I doubt I will.  It seems as far as drawings are concerned, I have no luck at all.  This still is goign to benefit others and I am happy for them.  I know in a few months ChaCha will roll out a new pay and I look forward to it.  The position is never boring to me.  It is never the same old stagnant routine.  Each customer asks different questions and the company is always changing pay policies.  I look at it as a good thing.

Well back to the consignment shop research for the day.  I think I am closer to actually signing a lease this week.  Like someone told me, if everything is smooth then I need to go with it.  If there are too many road blocks, then it wasn’t meant to be.  Happy Thursday!Cool

Save money, be your own agent

Published by atlfreestyle under Work at home Edit This

I started looking to lease a space for my consignment shop “Before & After Babies”.  I decided to call a Century 21 agent and see if they could help me find more deals.  I knew there would be a fee but it was never discussed.  I am new to all of this and I was a lil naive.  She never asked me to sign a contract and so we went on about our searching.  Well when the time came to sign the lease, the rent was too high.  I asked her to negotiate it for me and she did not.  I told her I was going to call the landlord (because I spoke to him before I ever called an agent) and work out a deal on my lease, and I would pay her fee.  She never told me a fee and there was never anything signed.  I assumed in the way the market is, everything is negotiable.  All said and done she wanted $1000 from me if I sign the lease or $3000 from the landlord.  This is why my rent was so high, her fee is outrageous.  I take some blame for not asking her fees upfront.  But this is ludicrous.  She is trying to take advantage of people and she needs to be stopped.  I contacted Century 21’s consumer affairs team and they said it was a legal contractual issue and I needed to seek legal advice.  In the meantime, Century 21 called the landlord and said if he leased the space to me they are taking him to small claims court if the agent didn’t get her fee.  They are bullying and threatening people.  I called the agent and said I would give her a few hundred bucks to compensate her for her time, because I gave her this contact and did most of the research and ALL of the negotiating on my lease.  I can’t believe how rude the broker and the manager was to me.  They win the 2009 award for CUSTOMER NO SERVICE.  I have filed a complaint with their parent company and the BBB.  They need not back anyone into a corner.  If they are so set in their fees, they need to be more clear upfront.  She is the professional and should have laid it all out on the table for me.

While I am waiting to clear this matter up, I have looked at other spaces by myself.   I have found that I can get better deals and get what is comfortable for me.  I am sorry this experience has made me frown upon real estate agents.  I will not blame the whole community, but she has left a bad mark on an already hurting economy.  She has made the landlord lose a tenant.  Just out of sheer principle I will make sure she does not get one penny from me or the landlord who i was working with.  I have also let several people know about her and her company and will continue to do so.  Word of mouth is the best way to let someone know how terrible of a person you are.  Hoping soon to find a space on my own!
